The USS Nevada has been Gallavant’s Mutant Vehicle at Burning Man since 2001 and, as far as we know, is the longest-tenured pirate ship ever to sail the playa. For over two decades, we’ve worked year-round to keep her shipshape, seaworthy, and ever-evolving. She is a vessel of adventure and magic, carrying Gallavant’s crew as we roam the dusty seas, welcoming wayward souls aboard who feel the call to join the voyage.

Each year, the ship posts a schedule on the back wall of the Arrrgh Bar, with planned voyages to explore the city, visit events, and collaborate with fellow camps. We regularly perform fire shows roaming with the Pyro Pirate Brigade, and just as often find ourselves swept up in spontaneous adventures that carry us deep into the night. When the horn sounds, it’s the signal, anchors up, all hands on deck, and departure is imminent.
